Daniel Farke provides Wilfried Gnonto injury update with 10 to miss Nottingham Forest vs Leeds clash
Daniel Farke has confirmed that Wilfried Gnonto will be back to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday in a big clash early into the season.
Gnonto has been out of action for Leeds since September after picking up a calf injury.
However, Farke confirmed in his recent press conference that the winger has been back in training for two weeks and is available for selection.
This will no doubt be a big boost for the manager against an injury-hit Nottingham Forest side.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sebastiaan Bornauw doubts for Nottingham Forest vs Leeds
While Gnonto’s return will be a big boost for Leeds, they could be without both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sebastiaan Bornauw for the upcoming tie.
The Englishman’s injury will be a blow for Leeds, with their attack already off to a poor start this campaign.
While Calvert-Lewin suffers from an adductor strain, Bornauw’s injury is to do with his ACL.
DF: “Calvert-Lewin had an adductor strain after Saturday. Will be a late call. Not in team training yet. Few more days. Little question mark on Bornauw, his on his MCL in training. Gnonto team training for two weeks, see him growing.” #lufc

Speaking about Bornauw’s injury, he said in his press conference on 7 November: “There is a little question mark on Sebastiaan Bornauw. He got a little hit on his ACL during a training session this week and also missed a training session.”
For Nottingham Forest, Douglas Luiz and Callum Hudson-Odoi are set to miss the clash alongside Chris Wood due to injuries.
Angus Gunn, Ola Aina, Oleksander Zinchenko, and Dilane Bakwa are also sidelined, while Elliot Anderson is also a doubt after he was absent from their draw against Sturm Graz on Thursday.
What are Wilfried Gnonto’s stats this season?
At the start of the season when Gnonto was fit, he was making an impact at Leeds.
While he is yet to pick up a goal contribution in the Premier League, Fotmob on 7 November highlights that he was continously getting into attacking positions and having shots.
| Wilfried Gnonto stats in the Premier League this season | Per 90 minutes |
| Shots | 2.32 |
| Passing accuracy | 82.1% |
| Accurate long balls | 0.93 |
| Dispossessed | 0.46 |
| Tackles | 4.18 |
This will be needed against Nottingham Forest, especially if Calvert-Lewin is unable to play in the match.
Hopefully, if Gnonto is given a start at the City Ground, he can mark his return with a goal or an assist.
Three points are needed for Leeds, or Farke could soon be sacked if their form is not significantly improved upon.
