Daniel Farke must hook Manor Solomon at HT for Leeds United v Burnley

Daniel Farke must axe Manor Solomon at half-time for Leeds United to stand a chance of beating Burnley.

The Whites travelled to Turf Moor on Monday evening (27 January), and a big selection decision was made on Joe Rothwell for the Championship top-of-the-table clash.

However, the visitors have found chances very few and far between in Lancashire and have found themselves at the will of the Clarets throughout the opening 45 minutes.

Furthermore, Solomon showed little desire for what could have proven to be a golden opportunity for the Israeli in the only notable talking point of the first half for Leeds.

Manor Solomon has to be replaced for Leeds United

Dan James got the better of his opposition number in the first half, but his fizzed cross across the Burnley penalty area failed to find a teammate with Solomon left flat-footed at the back post.

Former Leeds ace Don Goodman felt the forward needed to be “just a little more aggressive” live on Sky Sports Main Event (27 January, 8:17pm) and denied himself a clear tap-in.

The 25-year-old played a starring role in the 2-0 win against Norwich City last time out but has admitted he must strive for consistent performances at Elland Road throughout the rest of the campaign.

However, his desire for consistency has evaded him at Turf Moor and after 45 minutes of a non-existent display for the Whites, Farke must now look to his bench.

Leeds boasts the best crop of attacking talent in the Championship and have Largie Ramazani and Wilfried Gnonto in the dugout, waiting to be called upon.

Either forward can make an immediate impact on a dull evening for the Whites and could give Farke the edge he needs to avenge the 1-0 loss against Burnley at Elland Road earlier this season.
