Daniel Farke must axe Jayden Bogle at half-time to rescue Leeds United at Bristol City

Daniel Farke has to remove Jayden Bogle at half-time for Leeds United in the clash against Bristol City.

The Whites have failed to create anything of note against a tough Bristol City side despite dominating possession at Ashton Gate, with the sides locked at 0-0 in Saturday’s (26 October) contest.

Leeds were favourites heading into the clash but with the hosts threatening with several set-piece opportunities throughout the opening 45 minutes, Farke must make a change at half-time before the contest gets away from his side.

Isaac Schmidt should replace Jayden Bogle for Leeds United

Leeds have looked flat going forward against Bristol City, who are growing with confidence as the match wears on. Farke must kill the momentum now, while he has the chance.

Bogle has been virtually non-existent on the right flank, opting to pass backward or sideways rather than linking up with the returning Dan James.

As per Sofascore, the 24-year-old has only managed to win 33 per cent of his duels and has been just as ineffective further up the pitch, failing to find a teammate with any of his long balls or crossing attempts.

Farke decided to select Sam Byram to start at left-back in the absence of Junior Firpo in a blow for summer signing Isaac Schmidt.

However, the Swiss international may have an opportunity to impress this afternoon should Bogle’s outing be cut short.

The full-back has been limited to only nine minutes of action for Leeds thus far, but his versatility across the backline and attacking prowess are exactly what the Whites need to unlock the Bristol defence.

Leeds are at risk of dropping vital points in the race for automatic promotion – a change is needed now.
