Daniel Farke makes Connor Roberts decision in five changes – Confirmed Leeds XI v Rotherham
Daniel Farke has made x changes to his Leeds United starting XI to face Rotherham United on Saturday (10 February), as confirmed on the club’s official X account.
After rotating his options for the midweek 4-1 victory at Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup fourth-round replay on Tuesday (6 February), the German has reverted to type as Leeds chase a sixth straight Championship win against the rock-bottom Millers at Elland Road.
January arrival Connor Roberts is free to play for the first time but is only named among the substitutes, with Archie Gray starting at right-back. Ethan Ampadu partners Joe Rodon in the centre of defence with Junior Firpo at left-back.
Ilia Gruev continues his central midfield partnership with Glen Kamara, while further forward Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville return to partner Wilfried Gnonto as the supporting trio to starting striker Patrick Bamford.
Golden opportunity for Leeds United in Championship clash v Rotherham
Leeds are absolutely flying in 2024 thus far having racked up five straight Championship victories and reached the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Farke will be aware that this is an absolutely golden opportunity to make it six in a row in the league against a Rotherham side who have managed only three league victories this season.
There will no sense that Leeds will take this one easy and they have to be wise to the fact that this is still a Yorkshire derby against a side who will be right up for the battle and desperate for three points to keep their slim hopes of survival in tact.
But, frankly speaking, if Leeds want to be in those coveted top two spots come the end of the season then this exactly the sort of fixture that they have to be winning, there can be no slip up here today.
Let’s hope that come early evening it will be another three points in the bag for the Whites.
