Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has made one change to his Whites starting XI for the clash with Southampton on Saturday 4 May.

The German is without Patrick Bamford who was not spotted with the squad as they arrived at Elland Road so Joel Piroe continues to lead the line in his absenece, with Wilfried Gnonto, Crysecnio Summerville and Georginio Rutter in support.

While Connor Roberts is only fit to return to the bench, Archie Gray drops out of the staring XI with Glen Kamara the man replacing him.

Can Leeds United beat Ipswich Town to automatic promotion this season?

Leeds United may be the underdogs in the race for automatic promotion this season, but the Whites still have an incredibly slim chance of making an immediate return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

It won't be easy and Farke's squad are incredibly reliant on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield pulling off an impressive win against Ipswich Town, but stranger things have happened, especially in the Championship in the past.

Leeds don't even necessarily need to play well, they just simply have to find a way to claim all three points and hope that other results go their way. Otherwise, it will be the chaos of the playoffs that will be waiting for them.

Losing Bamford will be a major blow to the Whites' hopes as he has been one of their reliable players since the turn of the year, but the stage is now set for somebody else to carve out their own bit of history in a White shirt.

Hopefully, Farke's side manage to find a way to get over the line and pull off one of the most remarkable turnarounds in Championship history.
