Daniel Farke ‘disgusted’ with Jayden Bogle after Leeds v West Brom incident
Daniel Farke will be a frustrated man after Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw by West Brom at Elland Road on Saturday and will surely be having a word with Jayden Bogle.
Leeds started the game on the front foot, taking the lead through Junior Firpo just nine minutes after the whistle, punishing John Swift for a missed chance moments earlier.
One would have expected the Championship table-toppers to grab the game by the scruff of the neck after going in front, but they let West Brom back into the game instead.
A sloppy foul from Pascal Struijk allowed Swift to whip a dangerous ball towards the far four, with Darnell Furlong then finding the back of the net with a looping header.
Despite an eventful second half, the game remained 1-1, forcing the hosts to share the spoils with Tony Mowbray and Co.

Dan Goodman slams Leeds defending for Furlong goal
Reacting to Furlong’s goal on live commentary, Dan Goodman spotted a “disgusted” Farke sitting straight down on his seat after the ball hit the back of the net.
Minutes | Accurate Passes | Chances Created | Touches | Dribbles | Tackles | Ground Duels |
90 | 26/35 (74%) | 2 | 62 | 0/2 | 2/3 | 5/10 (50%) |
The pundit instantly hit out at Leeds for their poor defending and went on to slam Bogle for affording the West Brom defender a free header at the back post.
“Daniel Farke has just sat down on the bench, he is disgusted at the defending here”, Goodman said on Sky Sports Football (1 March, 1:09 pm).
“This is way too easy. He’s having a look now, but how on earth is one of the best headers of the ball that West Bromwich Albion possess given the freedom of Elland Road at the far post?
“It’s a really poor set-up, it’s all wrong here. Bogle goes in on Heggem, leaves Furlong.
“Look, he’s got an awful lot to do to score from there, but he gets everything right about this header.
“The only way he can score is to get it up and over Illan Meslier in that far corner and he does it perfectly and it’s game on now.”

Points dropped at Elland Road for first time since January
Leeds had a few sights of goal in the second half, with substitute Mateo Joseph hitting the woodwork on one occasion, but it was ultimately not to be.
This meant that Farke’s side dropped points at Elland Road for the first since 1 January, when they played out a 1-1 draw with Blackburn, who grabbed a late equaliser through Danny Batth.
As for Bogle, it was not an entirely poor performance from the right-back as he was threatening in attack, particularly in the first half.
However, there are no excuses for his defending for Furlong’s goal.
