Daniel Farke and Leeds party mood to continue after surprise Sunderland reveal

Leeds United are in dreamland at the moment, and that may be set to continue against Sunderland on Sunday.

Leeds make the trip to the Stadium of Light on 28 December in great form, having gone unbeaten in their last four matches.

Daniel Farke has eased sack talk at Leeds with huge victories over Chelsea and Crystal Palace and draws with Liverpool and Brentford.

He will now hope to get one over on their fellow promoted side when they meet.

Sunderland concern is ominous for Leeds clash

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in top form for Leeds, and Sunderland’s forwards have not had the same kind of performances recently as the veteran Whites ace.

The Black Cats have failed to score in their last three matches, since Chemsdine Talbi’s strike in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool on 3 December.

The Mackems failed to score against Brighton.

That is over 300 minutes of football, and bodes well for Leeds ahead of their encounter with Regis Le Bris’ side.

Why Leeds will be in party mood for Sunderland game

Leeds surely have the advantage for the clash, as they cannot stop scoring at the moment, and the Mackems are struggling to do the same.

The Peacocks have scored 13 goals in their last five matches, and there have been no signs of the goals drying up for the LS11 outfit.

Farke will love the latest Sunderland reveal, especially given the fact that his side have been in such good form in front of goal.

The party atmosphere among those at Elland Road should continue, given the difference between the sides’ fortunes in the attacking third.

Farke will certainly hope that is the case, and if the trend continues for both sides, it surely will be, as the North East side cannot find the back of the net lately.

That would help Leeds put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone, increasing their survival chances.
