Dan James starts as Josuha Guilavogui call made – Leeds United confirmed XI v Bristol City

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has made two changes to his starting XI for the showdown with Bristol City on Saturday 26 October.

The Whites manager has called upon Dan James, who starts his first game since August, to replace Largie Ramazani at Ashton Gate, with the Belgian winger ruled out for the next few weeks having been replaced early on against Watford last time out.

In defence, Sam Byram has slotted into the starting XI to replace the suspended Junior Firpo at left-back, while new signing Josuha Guilavogui has taken his place on the bench having joined Farke’s side as a free agent this week.

What has happened to Leeds United star Largie Ramazani at Elland Road?

The biggest question ahead of kick-off at Ashton Gate was always going to be who replaced Ramazani out wide after the Belgian winger picked up an injury during the win over Watford.

In James, Farke has a player capable of tearing up defences with his electric paces. While the Welsh international may not have the technical ability of Solomon, he will keep the Bristol City backline on their toes over the course of the 90 minutes.

There are no easy games in the Championship, but this feels like the sort of game Leeds need to win if they want to show that they are the team to beat for the title this term.

The Robins are yet to lose at home this term, but they have their own injury problems to contend with and have struggled against the Whites in the past. Farke’s side certainly come into this one as the favourites.

Three points at Ashton Gate in the early kick-off would put a little bit of pressure on both Burnley and Sunderland at the top of the table ahead of their games later this afternoon.
