Dan James returns to squad, Conor Roberts decision made – Confirmed Leeds XI v Swansea

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for their Championship encounter with Swansea City at the Swansea.com Stadium on Tuesday (13 February).

Daniel Farke’s side will be looking to build on their impressive 3-0 win over Rotherham United and maintain their push for automatic promotion when they take on a Swansea side who managed to end a five-game winless streak in their 1-0 over playoff hopefuls Hull City.

And the German boss has decided to stick with the same starting XI which triumphed over Rotherham with Archie Gray, at the expense of new signing Connor Roberts, and Junior Firpo continuing in the full-back positions with Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu at centre-back.

Glen Kamara continues with Ilia Gruev in midfield while Wilfried Gnonto keeps his place with star man Dan James returning to the matchday squad after injury.

Patrick Bamford, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter all also keep their place in the team.

Leeds United in search of their seventh successive Championship win

Leeds United were at their best against Rotherham as their attacking talent combined superbly to help break down the Millers with ease to continue the push for the automatic promotion places.

It is mightily crucial that Farke manages the workload of both players heading into a testing and gruelling schedule over the next month or so and if the Whites are to achieve the automatic promotion, key injuries have to be avoided.

The Whites have superb to make it this far and could well have found themselves second in the table if not for Southampton’s late win over Huddersfield at the weekend.

However, Farke’s men can only focus on themselves and grab the wins needed to heap up pressure on the Saints and Ipswich Town continuing on against Swansea who won’t be an easy side to roll over given their recent form.

Leeds have been boosted by the return of James in the squad after injury, looking to make some sort of mark against his former club in Wales and the certainly Whites boast one of the Championship’s most devastating attacking weaponry around.

Will that get them over the line again in another crucial encounter for Farke and his men?
