Dan James leaves Goodman stunned after ‘spectacular’ moment in Leeds v Luton
Dan James caused a stir in Leeds United’s Championship draw with Luton Town.
Daniel Farke‘s side were looking to get back to winning ways and reinvigorate their promotion charge after dropping points in four of the last five matches.
However, they got off to a miserable start after Isaiah Jones was left unmarked from a cross to the back post just 15 minutes into the contest, with James scoring the equaliser as it finished 1-1.

James to the rescue again for Leeds
James has rescued Leeds on numerous occasions this season and he was on hand once again to put them on level terms.
He received the ball on the right flank and cut inside onto his left foot, and curled home a beautiful effort to restore parity with just under half an hour on the clock.
Don Goodman was left stunned by the strike, speaking on Sky Sports (5 April, 12:58 pm), he said: “It is spectacular and probably from a Luton perspective a little bit unexpected because you are normally happy with such a right-footed player cutting inside onto his weaker left foot.
“Adebayo doesn’t really feel there’s any danger, you wonder whether Liam Walsh could get out a little quicker and get a little closer.
“Take nothing away though, it is a stunning strike, it is precise, it is accurate, Kaminski had no chance.”

Leeds need James to step up in the promotion race
The 27-year-old has notched 11 goals and nine assists in 33 second-tier matches this season and has been absolutely pivotal to Leeds’ promotion ambitions.
However, he had gone four games without a contribution before his latest effort and in three of those, nobody else was able to step up to win the match.

Farke needs his most dangerous player to be in top form as the season concludes because he can fire Leeds to the Premier League almost on his own.
The Peacocks need to be in the top-flight next season, they have been at the top of the division for a significant period and were only dethroned recently, having thrown away a five-point lead that they held after beating Sunderland and Sheffield United.
They cannot afford to go into the playoffs as their record in the end-of-season showdown is miserable, they have never secured promotion through them and would not fancy trying to break that hoodoo this campaign.
Farke’s side need to avoid the heartache of missing out on automatic promotion once again, they need to drastically improve in the next few weeks and James will be key to any chance of a revival.
