Crysencio Summerville could be involved for Leeds United clash v Fulham tonight

Crysencio Summerville could be handed another chance to shine in the Leeds United senior side when they play Fulham on Tuesday night, according to The Mirror.

The newspaper report via their print edition [September 21, page 55] that after earning his Leeds debut against Newcastle on Friday, the 19-year-old winger “could be given a greater chance tonight”.

Jack Harrison and Raphinha are both reportedly out of the Carabao Cup clash at Craven Cottage, opening the door for Summerville to potentially start against Marco Silva’s side.

Huge opportunity

With Marcelo Bielsa boasting the likes of Raphinha, Harrison and Daniel James in his wide options, now is as good a chance as any for Summerville to make his mark.

The Dutch winger isn’t going to get too many opportunities to shine in the Leeds first-team this season but this is a huge one for him and we hope he grabs it.

We’ve got high hopes for the teenager, who joined from Feyenoord last year and lit up Premier League 2 with the Whites’ Under-23s squad.

Last season, Summerville scored six goals and supplied six assists in 12 Premier League 2 appearances while this term he’s started off with two goals in four outings prior to his senior debut on Friday at Newcastle.

Ex-Leeds striker Noel Whelan has dubbed Summerville as someone who’s “electric, brilliant on the ball, very direct, quick feet” [Football Insider].

We really cannot wait to see what he can do against Fulham if he’s handed a start by Bielsa at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.
