Crysencio Summerville and Patrick Bamford axed – Predicted Leeds United XI v Plymouth

Daniel Farke could be set to make some changes to his Leeds United starting lineup to face Plymouth Argyle in their FA Cup fourth round replay on Tuesday.

The Whites were held to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road two weeks ago despite dominating for much of the game, and now must head to Home Park in order to set up a fifth-round clash with Chelsea or Aston Villa later in the month.

But with a hectic Championship schedule in store too, the boss may look to freshen things up in his starting lineup to protect key players while also looking to get a big win for a cup run.

Illan Meslier is likely to keep his place in the side with Karl Darlow still injured, although Kristoffer Klaesson was impressive during his short run in the side while the Frenchman was suspended.

Archie Gray should get the nod at right-back again with Connor Roberts still unavailable to make his debut as he is ineligible, but Sam Byram could come into the side at left-back ahead of Junior Firpo for a bit more stability.

Joe Rodon is the best central defender at the club and will start, but he should find captain Liam Cooper alongside him this time which will allow Ethan Ampadu to move back into midfield to partner the in-form Ilia Gruev.

Leeds have so much attacking depth

The attacking area of the pitch is undoubtedly where Daniel Farke has the most quality and options to choose from, and that should be clear to see in this game.

Crysencio Summerville and Patrick Bamford are both in good form right now, with the former dubbed “incredible” by Fabrizio Romano but the boss may look to give them a break with a huge game against Rotherham to come at the weekend.

That should see summer signings Jaidon Anthony and Joel Piroe come back into the team, with both players having scored recently for the Whites.

Wilfried Gnonto got his first goal since August in the win over Bristol City which should see him keep his place on the wing, while Georginio Rutter remains key to the way Farke plays and he should rekindle his partnership with Piroe as the number nine.
