Confirmed Leeds United team news in Premier League v Southampton

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for their must-win Premier League showdown against Southampton on Saturday 25 February.

Javi Gracia will take charge of his first game in charge of the club at Elland Road after his work permit issues were finally resolved ahead of this crucial afternoon.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have made one change with Brenden Aaronson coming into the side to replace Crysencio Summerville.

Desperate.

So, here we are with Gracia taking charge of his first game.

It comes only days after the board were forced to change their minds on Michael Skubala staying in charge after the shambolic performance away at Everton last time out.

Despite limited time at Thorp Arch actually out on the grass trying to get his methods across, the Spaniard will hope that his subtle changes can bring huge rewards for the home side.

Leeds have won fewer games than any club in the top four tiers of English football this season which is simply embarrassing, and it has to change immediately.

Southampton may have got that win at Chelsea last time out, but they had to rely on some big luck and Gavin Bazunu to pull them out of trouble after a James Ward-Prowse free-kick.

We are fed up with coming up short, it is time for Leeds to leave no doubt and run through their opponent, not only on the pitch but on the scoreboard too.

In other Leeds United news, the club are now leading the race to sign an in-demand young attacking talent from a European giant.
