Confirmed Leeds United starting XI v West Ham

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for the Premier League clash against West Ham this afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa has been hit with a selection crisis ahead of the clash at Elland Road, with numerous first-team stars out.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have started Raphinha, Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton.

Pascal Struijk, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente have really handed the Whites a huge defensive headache to deal with this month.

Add to that the absence of Patrick Bamford and there are real issues at both ends of the pitch.

West Ham have become one of those really tough tests for anyone in the Premier League, and they will be licking their lips.

David Moyes has few problems to deal with, and that will shift the momentum heavily in the way of his side.

Hard to judge.

Everyone can sit from the outside looking in and assume that this so-called “second-season syndrome” has hit Leeds.

When you really look into it though, who else in this position would be able to go out and pick up points and wins every single week?

Imagine any club with three of their four central defenders out and their star striker, they would be hopeless.

Jurgen Klopp was almost crying and had to sign two defenders last season when he had three of his own out, but Bielsa just knuckles down.

Regardless of today’s result, we need to get behind the team – bring it on.
