Confirmed Leeds United starting XI v Tottenham in Premier League

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for their Premier League clash against Tottenham on Saturday 12th November ahead of the World Cup break.

Jesse Marsch had some big decisions to make with numerous changes made in mid-week for the Carabao Cup and the likes of Patrick Bamford ruled out yet again.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have handed Willy Gnonto his first start, with Jack Harrison dropped completely despite travelling to London.

Confidence.

It is a strange feeling to have going to the home of the side currently sitting third in the Premier League.

But, the truth is that Leeds have played their best football against those in the top-six so far this season, smashing Chelsea, beating Liverpool and they should have beaten Arsenal with ease.

The narrow system of Marsch appears to help massively as teams try to play through his side, rather than go long, which has caused big problems, as shown against Bournemouth.

Wins over the Cherries and Liverpool have seen Marsch secure his position right now when it looked like the only outcome was him being sacked, and that shouldn’t change today.

Even if Leeds don’t leave with a positive result, we have seen enough from the squad to know they are fully behind their manager and that won’t change today.

Having said that, taking points back home from London will be a great result before the World Cup and going into the break on a positive streak and away from the relegation zone will be brilliant.

Bring it on.
