Confirmed Leeds United starting XI v Fulham

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI for the Carabao Cup clash against Fulham on Tuesday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa has a selection crisis on his hands and looks set to hand numerous under-23 players a chance.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood in their squad at Craven Cottage.

Mark Jackson has been preparing his squad for this very moment.

Speaking after the 4-0 win over Liverpool this week, the academy boss admitted that he has been drilling Bielsa’s methods into his young squads.

Crysencio Summerville made his Premier League debut against Newcastle and will be looking to build on that this evening in the capital.

Time to show it.

It is all well and good looking like world-beaters in the academy, but this is where our younger stars have to come out and prove they’re good enough.

Yes, Summerville didn’t get long on the pitch after coming on at Newcastle on Friday, but he did little to catch the eye and struggled against Javier Manquillo.

Fulham may be a Championship outfit now, but they haven’t lost many players and have strengthened well.

The likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Harry Wilson will offer strong opposition for our side, and they have to dominate them.
