Confirmed Leeds United starting line-up v Fulham: Bamford dropped
Leeds United have named a strong starting line-up against Fulham in the Premier League at Elland Road on Sunday (23 October).
The Whites need to get back to winning ways having failed to pick up a win since August. After four defeats in their last five games, Jesse Marsch is under a lot of pressure at the moment.
Via Twitter, the Whites have named their starting line-up for this game.
Marsch has made as many as six changes from the side that lost against Leicester City. The likes of Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Patrick Bamford, and Cry Summerville were dropped.
Pascal Struijk has come into the side, along with Rodrigo, Jack Harrison, Sam Greenwood, Liam Cooper, and Luke Ayling.
This is a must-win game for the Whites.
The results have been very poor in recent games, but Marsch still retains the faith of the Whites’ owners.
At some point, they will lose patience with him if the results do not improve. Most importantly, it will dampen their spirits if they don’t get wins on their home turf.
Most importantly, these are the games that Leeds must win, otherwise, they will be in the same doldrum as they were last season, and the progress will be halted.
The Whites will face the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City, and West Ham in their next five games, and chances are high they could struggle to win in any one of those games.
So, it is important to get full points against teams like Fulham and Bournemouth.
Leeds find themselves 16th in the Premier League, just two points above the drop zone. The pressure is building on Marsch, and they need a strong response today.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
