Chris Sutton shares what’s ‘really odd’ about decision made ahead of Wolves vs Leeds
Leeds United travel to face Wolves this weekend.
Pressure is slowly starting to mount on Daniel Farke, though with four points from four games, he is safe in his job for now.
Leeds face Wolves this weekend, knowing that anything other than a win will spark more concern, given the fact that they are bottom of the Premier League.
While some Whites supporters may be optimistic about Leeds getting a result, Chris Sutton isn’t, with his predictions for the clash shared.

Vitor Pereira signs new Wolves deal ahead of Leeds encounter
If pressure is already on Farke, one can only assume how Vitor Pereira was feeling after a winless start to the campaign.
Despite an atrocious start, Wolves are still favourites to beat Leeds, though the underdog label may play into the favour of Farke’s side.
However, in his predictions on BBC Sport, Sutton cannot see that happening and is surprised that Wolves have given Pereira a new deal.
Wolves’ stats this season
- Four games
- Four losses
- Two goals scored
- Nine goals conceded
He said: “When I lost at predictions a few weeks running last season, I didn’t get a call from the BBC offering me a new deal.
“Yet that is what seems to be happening with Wolves boss Vitor Pereira, which is really odd.
“Wolves are without the injured Jorgen Strand Larsen up front, which is a blow, but I am still backing them to win this one – maybe a new contract for Pereira will mean a new dawn for his team?”
Sutton went on to predict a 1-0 win for the hosts, which would pile more misery on the Whites.

Leeds cannot drop points vs Wolves
If Leeds are going to stay in the Premier League, they need to win the games against the teams around them, and Wolves look as though they will be one of them.
However, Farke is going to need to get his side firing if that is to be the case, with Leeds having only scored one goal so far this season.
Willy Gnonto and Dan James are set to miss Leeds’ clash with Wolves, and that will be a big blow in their pursuit of goals.
Nevertheless, this is a winnable game, and while it is just the fifth of the season, it already feels like a must-win.
