Charlie Crew decision made ahead of Leeds United v Middlesbrough

Charlie Crew was spotted with the Leeds United squad ahead of Tuesday’s contest with Middlesbrough, according to Adam Pope.

The BBC broadcaster posted via his personal X account [10 December] that the youngster was alongside Sam Byram arriving at Elland Road.

Crew has made one senior appearance for the Whites, coming as a late substitute in the win over Plymouth Argyle on 2 November.

Charlie Crew a Leeds United star of the future

Crew has long been talked up as a possible future star at Elland Road, much in the same way as Archie Gray and many others before him.

The youngster has already earned recognition at senior level with Wales and has been given minutes for the Leeds first team.

The next step in his development is to feature more often, but that is of course not easy when there are so many talented options in front of him.

Crew could potentially be loaned out in the January transfer window, but it is more likely that Daniel Farke will want him as part of his own squad.

Whether or not the Welshman will actually feature against Middlesbrough remains to be seen, but at least he is in and around the first-team picture.

Farke has seen what can happen when injuries strike, and Crew simply has to be ready to make the most of any opportunities when they arrive.

Given he is still aged just 18, and does not turn 19 until next May, he will no doubt be more than happy with where he is at right now.

In other Leeds United news, Farke must prove a prominent pundit wrong after what has been said.
