CBS journalist Jake Winderman stunned by what he saw in Leeds United win v Huddersfield Town
CBS journalist Jake Winderman was stunned by what he saw Leeds United do in the first-half of their 4-1 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.
The Whites blew their Yorkshire rivals away with to lead 4-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Daniel James and Crysencio Summerville, bouncing back from defeat to Stoke in midweek in the perfect way.
And Winderman, a self-proclaimed Leeds fan from USA, was stunned by the performance and heaped praise on the team after they went 1-0 up after 25 minutes of the game at Elland Road.
“Holy crap, what a touch and pass by Rutter to get Summerville up the pitch and off to James for a great finish,” he said on his personal Twitter account (28 October).
“Phenomenal start to the match, 1-0 Leeds! Much deserved! Could be 2-0 or 3-0.”
Outstanding
Whast a performance from Leeds, and what a response from the players on the pitch after a drab midweek.
Daniel Farke made four changes to his team and they responded perfectly, with Summerville and James coming back into the starting lineup and immediately making it clear we’re better with them in the side.
We attacked with purpose, speed and quality and defensively we were solid throughout too despite the error from Illan Meslier costing us the clean sheet.

It was the perfect performance from an attacking perspective and it showed just how good we can be when we’re really on it and on song, and what Farke’s vision for the team is too.
Fans are happy heading into Friday’s clash with Leicester City which will really show where we’re at as a team, and a good season is being had. Happy days at Elland Road and bring on the next game to ride this wave of momentum.
