CBS journalist blasts ‘dreadful’ Jack Harrison after performance in Leeds United win v Southampton
CBS journalist Jake Winderman savaged Leeds attacker Jack Harrison for his performance against Southampton despite the victory.
The Whites claimed their first win since October thanks to Junior Firpo’s late goal, helping the team climb out of the relegation zone in the process.
But in a tight affair, Harrison’s underwhelming performance didn’t go unnoticed and Winderman demanded he be hauled off the pitch after another “dreadful” showing at Elland Road.
“Please get Jack Harrison off the pitch,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (25 February).
“He’s been dreadful for weeks now.”
Ouch
Harrison started the season in excellent form for Leeds and looked to be a mainstay in Jesse Marsch’s team going forward.
But his form quickly deteriorated and he found himself way down the pecking order as others in those attacking positions outperformed him – namely Willy Gnonto, Rodrigo and Crysencio Summerville.
With Rodrigo out injured, Brenden Aaronson struggling and Luis Sinisterra unavailable too, Harrison has found himself in the team regularly recently but his form hasn’t picked up yet.

The team has often been carrying him in games, and in the position we’re in down at the bottom battling relegation, we simply cannot afford to do that with players.
His head doesn’t look like it’s fully at Elland Road, despite talk of a new contract after a deadline day move to Leicester collapsed when Marsch u-turned on it. But he needs to find his form again, or he’ll be doing more harm than good.
