Leeds United made 11 changes to their side for the Carabao Cup clash against Hull City on Wednesday evening at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa handed the captains armband to the disgraced Kiko Casilla, much to the dismay of many fans in West Yorkshire.

There were also debuts for club-record signing Rodrigo and Charlie Cresswell in defence with many other academy products featuring.

It didn’t start well for Leeds. Hull City took the lead at Elland Road through former Whites player Malik Wilks.

The goal started with a poor clearance from Casilla in goal, and the ball found its way to Wilks on the edge of the box and his deflected strike found the back of the net.

The Spaniard continues to feature in games despite being found guilty of racially abusing Jonathan Leko last season.

Casilla never apologised for that, and fans up and down the country continue to share their disgust that the Whites and Bielsa have stuck by their keeper.

Many Leeds fans have reacted to the performance of Casilla in the first half, and no surprise they have torn him apart for his role in the goal.

The majority have called for the club to get rid of him in this transfer window, with many calling Casilla a “liability” in between the sticks.
