Cardiff City coach in howler as fine dished out before Leeds United clash

Cardiff City’s team coach was handed a parking ticket ahead of their clash against Leeds United on Saturday.

The Bluebirds travelled to West Yorkshire for the Championship clash at Elland Road on 1 February, and their coach was spotted in the city centre beforehand.

A Whites supporter, LUFCFANZONE on X (1 February), took a picture of the bus which had a fine stuck to the front window of the vehicle from Leeds City Council.

Cardiff’s day went from bad to worse as they were on the end of a 7-0 thumping at Elland Road.

Cardiff City coach fined ahead of Leeds United clash

It will be funny for supporters of both sides to see the team coach of the away side be brandished with a parking ticket ahead of the game.

It is unclear where the bus was parked, but regardless of being transport for a Championship side, you aren’t allowed to park on double yellow lines.

Whether this added an air of insecurity around the Cardiff squad ahead of their clash at Elland Road is unclear but the way they started would point towards that being the case.

Brenden Aaronson and Manor Solomon were able to get on the scoresheet within 13 minutes to make it a very difficult afternoon for the travelling side.

This has been a common theme for Daniel Farke’s side in recent weeks with early tempo and goals setting the tone for the rest of the game in LS11.

Daniel James, Willy Gnonto and Mateo Joseph all went on to add their names to the scoresheet in a rampant second half, with Joel Piroe helping himself to a couple.

Whether or not the parking ticket had an impact on the result or not, Leeds are unlikely to care either way.
