Burnley vs Leeds preview: Team news, line-ups, score prediction
Leeds are looking to boost their Premier League survival hopes as they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Leeds’ 2-1 loss to Tottenham before the international break saw yet another promising performance under Daniel Farke at Elland Road despite the defeat.
The Peacocks currently sit 15th in the Premier League as they face a trip to fellow newly-promoted side Burnley.
The hosts are 19th in the table and are winless in their last five league matches, although they’ve faced an incredibly tough set of opening fixtures.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, MOT Leeds News has provided you with everything you need to know.

Championship form guide:
Burnley: L, D, L, L, L
Leeds: D, L, W, D, L
Team news
Lucas Perri remains unavailable for Leeds despite returning to full training, meaning Karl Darlow is once again set to deputise in goal.
Farke confirmed that Dan James is fit to play after doubts emerged that he rolled his ankle in training, whilst Noah Okafor is also available despite managing issues with his adductor.
Willy Gnonto also remains sidelined, yet he is expected to return to first-team training next week.
As for Burnley, they’re main issue is the injury striker Lyle Foster sustained on international duty with South Africa, with the 25-year-old a doubt for Saturday’s clash.
Zeki Amdouni and Jordan Beyer are sidelined with long-term injuries, whilst Connor Roberts is also a doubt for the match at Turf Moor.
Predicted lineup
Burnley: Dubravka; Walker, Tuanzebe, Esteve, Hartman; Cullen, Florentino, Laurent; Tchaouna, Broja, Anthony
Leeds: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Longstaff, Stach; Harrison, Okafor, Piroe

Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Leeds
The news that Okafor and James are available is a huge boost for Farke, as both players could hurt the Burnley defence with their direct speed.
Leeds do still have an issue when it comes to scoring goals from open play, yet they should have more joy against their struggling opposition.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been criticised for the amount of chances he’s missed, and Joel Piroe could start in his place.
Player | Appearances | Minuted played | Goals | Expected goals (xG) |
Dominic Calvert-Lewin | 5 | 357 | 1 | 1.34 |
Joel Piroe | 3 | 147 | 0 | 0.38 |
Lukas Nmecha | 7 | 148 | 1 | 0.97 |
Jaidon Anthony is Burnley’s danger man, having scored four of their seven Premier League goals this season.
If Leeds can stop Anthony’s brilliant run of form, then their recent performances suggest that they should leave Turf Moor with all three points.
