Brentford vs Leeds: Players you didn’t know played for both teams
Leeds travel to Brentford on Sunday, looking to continue with their positive momentum gained from recent results.
Daniel Farke eased sack pressure at Leeds with victory over Chelsea and a draw with Liverpool, but Keith Andrews’ side represents a different type of test.
Pontus Jansson is the most notable player to feature for both clubs, as he made over 100 appearances for the Elland Road outfit, and also for the Bees.
However, MOT Leeds News looks at three less obvious players, ahead of the clash between the sides on 14 December.

Stuart Dallas
Stuart Dallas is a hero for Leeds supporters, as he played a key role in their previous promotion and survival in the Premier League.
The Northern Irish star made 267 appearances for the Whites, winning the Championship title in the 2019-20 campaign, and winning the Leeds Players’ Player of the Year award three times in the 2015–16, 2019–20, and 2020–21 seasons.
He also featured 75 times for the West London outfit before he made the move to LS11 and earned his status with the Peacocks faithful.
Dallas was forced to retire in April 2024 due to injury.
Adam Forshaw
Adam Forshaw is another player who was pivotal in Leeds’ previous top-flight run.
The English midfielder spent five years with the Whites between 2018 and 2023, making 91 appearances for the Yorkshire side.
He had previously spent two seasons with the Bees, between 2012 and 2014, where he played 100 times, signing permanently after an initial loan spell from Everton.
He is still playing in the second tier with Blackburn Rovers.
Alex McCarthy
Alex McCarthy made little impact in his short stint on loan with Leeds, in the 2011-2012 campaign.
The goalkeeper joined the Peacocks from Reading, but featured just six times and returned to the Madejski Stadium in January 2012.
He had already spent time at Brentford, after joining them for a month on loan in August 2010, but only made three appearances.
He has since forged a respectable career, with 152 career appearances in the top-flight of English football, and 85 in the Championship, and is currently at Southampton.
