Birmingham City vs Leeds United postponement latest as yellow Met Office warning now in place
Leeds United supporters could be affected by a yellow weather warning while travelling to St Andrew’s for their FA Cup tie against Birmingham City.
The Met Office is advising that there may be snow and ice around the Midlands, and directly on the route that Whites fans will take to the game on Sunday.
A yellow weather warning means that some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
However, as it currently stands, the game is all set to go ahead, with Sunday’s warning just avoiding Birmingham.
So it is down to those travelling from further afield to keep an eye out for any further weather developments.

Leeds set for rain-affected clash with Birmingham
Leeds beat Derby County 3-1 to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup back in January, despite going a goal behind in the first half.
Ben Brereton Diaz gave the Championship side the lead, moments after Joel Piroe missed a penalty, but the Whites came storming back in the second half.
Willy Gnonto crashed home the equaliser before goals from Ao Tanaka and James Justin ensured Leeds‘ progression.
Daniel Farke’s side will hope for a more straightforward encounter on Sunday, at what is likely to be a rainy St Andrew’s.
According to the Met Office, there is a 40 per cent chance of precipitation at 12pm, when the game kicks off, with that increasing to 50 per cent throughout the afternoon.
| Time | 11am | 12pm | 1pm | 2pm | 3pm |
| Temperature | 5° | 6° | 7° | 7° | 8° |
| Chance of Precipitation | 30% | 40% | 50% | 50% | 50% |
There is sleet expected around the Birmingham area on Saturday morning, but the temperature will rise slowly throughout the day.
Who will start for Leeds vs Birmingham?
Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Birmingham allows Farke the opportunity to rotate his squad.
Away from the ferocity of their Premier League relegation fight, Leeds should be able to give their fringe players some minutes.
Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto have been barely used by Farke in the league, but may get their chance from the start against Birmingham.

Elsewhere, Dan James could come in for his first start since returning from injury, with Lucas Perri given a chance to prove himself again after being dropped last month.
