‘Better than Barcelona’ – These fans react as Sky Sports show posts ‘stunning’ Leeds footage
Leeds United fans don’t need reminding just how good their club can play under Marcelo Bielsa.
And the Premier League got a glimpse of what’s coming in a stunning first half against Arsenal in the FA Cup back in January.
But it’s always good to see others cotton on and Sky Sports show Soccer AM are the latest to jump aboard the Bielsa bandwagon.
In a tweet they put out on Tuesday, Soccer AM posted footage of Stuart Dallas’ goal from the 3-2 defeat against Ipswich at the tail-end of the 18/19 season.
The goal was great, the game far less so for Leeds after a miserable run of results forced the club into the play-offs.
However, Soccer AM was loving it and said, “When Leeds casually turned into Barcelona. From back to front in the smoothest way possible.”
They captioned the video with, “Leeds United score stunning team goal” and a shocked face emoji.
We’re a bit bemused at why Soccer AM has posted this particular clip up. Sure, it’s a great team goal but we’re with one Leeds fan who said, “Casually turned into Barcelona…there’s about 10 goals from the last season and 2/3 that are just as good, if not better!!”
That’s very true but we’re still happy for the world to see the sort of football that Leeds fans now expect week-in, week-out. The question is, is the Premier League ready for Bielsa?
