Another 1-0 win for Leeds United last night as they continue to channel their inner Arsenal and take a nervy route towards promotion.

At the end of the day the three points are all that matters but it's not an easy watch for fans at the moment.

One player who made it a lot easier last night was Gaetano Berardi.

To be fair he's been a rock whenever he's been called upon this season but that's not a lot.

In fact, he didn't even make the squad for the game against Reading and, to add insult to injury, he's the only player who's out of contract in the summer who hasn't been given an extension.

Those sorts of things would play on any normal player's mind but Berardi is made out of different gravy and there were plenty of Leeds fans who paid tribute to him on Twitter after last night's win.

Drafted in because Kalvin Phillips didn't make the game, he was a big part of why Leeds kept their third consecutive clean sheet and one fan called for Andrea Radrizzani to give him a new contract.

You can't say he doesn't deserve it.
