BBC pundit slams Glen Kamara live on air after ‘awful’ moment in Leeds United draw v Rotherham United
Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara was slammed by former Whites defender Jon Newsome during the club’s match against Rotherham United.
The BBC Sport pundit blasted the Finland international for his “awful finish” in the first half of the Championship clash on Friday (24 November).
Kamara had the chance to put the visitors 2-0 ahead in the first half after Crysensio Summerville had opened the scoring after seven minutes, with the game ending 1-1 thanks to Hakeem Odoffin’s 45th-minute equaliser for the hosts.

“That was so wasteful, it was four against two at one point there,” Newsome said live on BBC Radio Leeds (20.39, 24 November), as quoted by BBC Sport. “Summerville does fantastic, no one was catching him. It was an awful finish.”
Big miss
It was certainly a big miss from Kamara, who was then made to feel even worse as Odoffin netted an equaliser for the home side shortly after.

The Finland ace is certainly not known for his goals, and manager Daniel Farke certainly doesn’t rely on the midfielder in that regard.
But the former Rangers man really should have put the visitors into a comfortable lead, with the quick turnaround of events undoubtedly angering Farke.
After superb work on the counter from Summerville – who really enjoyed his first half – Kamara could only fire his effort into the side netting.
The finishing should definitely be left to the attacking players in the team, with Summerville producing a very clinical finish for his early goal.
However, much to the frustration of the visitors, that is where their scoring ended for the night, with the point leaving Leeds well behind Leicester City and Ipswich Town in the league table.
