BBC journalist moots Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha exit from Leeds United as image emerges after draw v Brighton
BBC Radio Leeds journalist Jonathan Buchan has mooted the possibility that Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha have played their final Leeds United games at Elland Road.
Pascal Struijk’s 92nd-minute goal earned the Whites a 1-1 draw against Brighton on Sunday (15 May), moving them out of the Premier League’s relegation zone with one game left to play.
Phillips and Raphinha have both been linked with moves away from Leeds due to how well they’ve done in the Premier League at Elland Road.

And after capturing an image of the pair after the fans had left on Sunday, Buchan suggested it could be the final time they played in the white of Leeds United at Elland Road.
“Raphinha and Kalvin Phillps sharing a moment post game after the fans have left,” said Buchan via his personal Twitter account.
“Both possibly playing here in a Leeds shirt for the final time?
“Raphinha been sat there on his own for a good while now.”
The Last Dance?
If that’s that for Phillips and Raphinha at Elland Road – it’s not over for them as Leeds United players.
Next week, we travel to Brentford in the biggest games that Leeds have had in a very long time.
We’re playing to stay alive in the Premier League – we have to win.
Everton look as though they’re creeping towards safety so all eyes are going to be on Burnley, who have dropped to 18th due to our point against Brighton and their loss to Tottenham.
Burnley have two games left – Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Neither of those sides have anything to play for and Leeds could be back in the relegation zone if Burnley avoid defeat when they play Villa in a midweek game.
Regardless of what happens between Burnley and Villa, Leeds need to win.
We’re looking at players like Phillips, who’s not been that great in recent weeks, and Raphinha, who’s our top goalscorer and easily the best source of goals.
We need those guys more than ever.
If they’re going to leave Leeds this summer, we don’t want it to be because of relegation release clauses.
Stop that from happening, please.
