Ayling and Roberts back in training

Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts – missing since the start of the season through injury – are back in training with Leeds.

The club’s official Twitter page posted footage of the pair in fairly intensive training on Monday, although there’s still to time-frame for their return.

Stuart Dallas has made the right-back position his own since Ayling underwent surgery on an ankle injury.

He’s been one of the standout players this season and looks like a man transformed, scoring his first goal of the season in the 3-0 win against Stoke on Saturday.

Ayling will have a struggle to get back in the side given Dallas’ form, although manager Marcelo Bielsa admitted that neither player is close to coming back to the first-team.

“Tyler Roberts will probably be ready and in the team before Luke Ayling,” Bielsa said.  “I cannot confirm the date. We are talking about players who are not coming back soon.”

Both will likely put in minutes with the Under-23s before being introduced back into the first-team fold slowly.
