Arsenal first-team duo doubts for clash v Leeds United - confirmed

Arsenal have confirmed that Hector Bellerin and Gabriel Martinelli are injury doubts for their clash against Leeds United on Monday.

Championship leaders Leeds travel to the Emirates next week for the third round of the FA Cup but Arsenal could be without a few first-team players for the game.

It has been confirmed on the Gunners’ official website that Calum Chambers and Kieran Tierney will definitely miss the game but right-back Bellerin and forward Martinelli could also be ruled out.

Both players have hamstring injuries and will be assessed ahead of Leeds’ visit to North London.

Bellerin has missed a lot of the season due to injury.

He has only managed to make seven first-team appearances in all competitions for Arsenal but does seem to be on the road to recovery now.

Martinelli has been one of the Gunners’ stars of the season with the Brazilian teenager scoring eight goals in 17 total appearances.

However he has not played since December 21 due to a hamstring injury, missing three games in the process.

There’s every chance that Martinelli would start against Leeds if he was fit for the game so it could be quite the boost for the Yorkshire giants if he was to be ruled out.

In other Leeds United news, fans have hailed this player after the draw with West Brom.
