Archie Gray sends message as Leeds United finally lift Championship title
Archie Gray has sent a message as Leeds United secured the Championship title with a 2-1 win over Plymouth.
The 19-year-old left the Whites in 2024 to join Tottenham in a £40million deal but he still regularly follows the Elland Road outfit.
The Spurs star came through the academy at Thorp Arch and has a lot of family connection to the Yorkshire club, with his brother among the current squad under Daniel Farke.

Gray sends Gruev message after Leeds title win
The Whites won the Championship in dramatic fashion with a 91st-minute Manor Solomon strike putting them ahead of Burnley, with both sides finishing on 100 points.
Ilia Gruev took to Instagram to share an image of himself with the trophy after the late victory, saying: “Wow – 100 points! Champions! What a historic season! Incredible!”
Gray reacted to the message with the love-struck eyes emoji.
Leeds need to build on title win
The work has only just begun for Farke, as Premier League survival will be an ever harder task than gaining promotion proved to be.
The current newly-promoted teams are set to come straight back down, and the gap between the divisions is bigger than ever.
Championship | Played | GD | Points |
C. Leeds United | 46 | +65 | 100 |
2. Burnley | 46 | +53 | 100 |
The Peacocks need their recruitment to be flawless, they cannot afford to make mistakes in the transfer market that could be fatal to their chances of staying up.
There has been intense speculation on Farke’s future recently due to his poor record in the top-flight and the 49ers ownership group need to resolve it as quick as possible, otherwise it could mess up their transfer plans.
A target is less likely to move to Yorkshire if there is uncertainty surrounding the position of the manager going into the new season.
There is every chance that the German can improve his reputation in the top tier of English football as the squad as his disposal is much better than the one at Norwich, which resulted in just six wins from 49 matches.
Only time will tell if the former Canaries boss is given the chance to oversee Leeds in the top division but the decision needs to be made sooner rather than later.
