Andrea Radrizzani shares Twitter verdict as Leeds win 2-1 v Manchester City
Andrea Radrizzani has hailed his Leeds United team after the marvellous 2-1 victory against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Despite Liam Cooper being handed his marching orders by Andre Marriner, Stuart Dallas scored either side of half-time to seal the three points.
The Whites owner has slammed that decision, claiming that the game was “ruined” by the controversial red card in the opening 45 minutes.
Writing on his personal Twitter account after the clash on Saturday, Radrizzani couldn’t have been prouder of his club.
“A beautiful game ruined by a VAR decision,” he wrote.
“Proud of the boys, come on Leeds.”
Ruined?
The decision to hand Cooper a red card has become a distant memory in our minds, especially after Dallas smashed home the winner.
This performance was for every one of our critics this season who have claimed that we can’t sit back and defend when it is needed, this was the perfect performance.
George Baldock’s challenge on Tyler Roberts last week in the win over Sheffield United was much worst than this one, and the fact that Gabriel Jesus stayed down didn’t help Cooper’s case.
Cooper was spotted handing out massive hugs to his teammates at the end of the game, and he will have been relieved, whether he believed the decision or not.
There will be outrage about this decision, but we can’t let that overshadow the achievement of three points today, and have to celebrate the miraculous performance from the rest of the squad.
