Andrea Radrizzani sends passionate message after Leeds United win v Liverpool
Andrea Radrizzani has sent a passionate message to Leeds United fans on Twitter after the Whites earned a 2-1 win against Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday (29 October).
The Whites came into this fixture on the back of a 3-2 loss against Fulham. The fans vented their frustrations on their manager, the team, and the board as they failed to win a game since August.
However, Leeds produced a massive result on the night, with Crysencio Summerville producing a moment of inspiration to seal all three points for the visitors.
Radrizzani wrote on Twitter: “We were not rubbish last week and we are not champions tonight. It s a long journey , working and improving together. Game by game , as always have been in these six years since I had the honour to join this unique Club.”
Radrizzani has sent a passionate message here to the fans, and the underlying tone of the message is very clear – the club keep faith in March.
There were suggestions that Marsch could lose his job, but he was assured by the board that the club is not even thinking along those lines.
They signed Marsch on a long-term deal to replace Marcelo Bielsa, and the club are not going to press their panic button easily, without giving a fair share of games to turn the situation around.
Anfield is a fortress for Liverpool, and they generally don’t lose at their home ground. In the second half, they kept on piling pressure, but the defence stayed resolute with Illan Meslier producing arguably his best performance of the season.
The Whites did create some brilliant chances as well, and before Summerville netted the winner, Patrick Bamford had a chance to tuck it away, but a poor first-touch almost cost the Whites three points.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
