'Amazing', 'Twist the knife' – Many fans loving 'top trolling' Leeds post ahead of clash v Derby

Going to Derby as champions. That was going to take an unlikely series of events but with both West Brom and Brentford losing, that’s the reality that faces the Leeds United players today.

Oh, what glorious revenge after last season when the Derby players and Frank Lampard celebrated knocking us out of the play-offs as if they’d been promoted.

Using the drawn-out Spygate affair to try to heap even more misery on the Leeds players and fans.

What delight.

And the official Leeds account was making the most of it this morning with a fantastic tweet ahead of the game at Pride Park.

It simply read, “Premier League vs Championship today, as we take on Derby County in our penultimate game of the season.”

Drink those words in.

Plenty of Leeds fans reacted to the tweet with sheer delight because the Leeds Twitter account under the stewardship of Digital Wilson has been Premier League quality this season, too.

One fan simply said, “Top trolling” and included a gif of a man looking through a pair of binoculars.

We really wouldn’t put it past one or two of the Leeds players to do this today and if we had to put money on anyone it would be Leeds joker-in-residence Gjanni Alioski.

The great thing is Leeds fans can just enjoy today. It’s the ultimate revenge and with nothing on the line it’s a pure party.
