Amazing footage emerges of Bielsa celebrating Tyler Roberts goal

New footage has emerged of Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa passionately celebrating Tyler Roberts’ strike against Southampton.

Normally impassive on the sidelines, El Loco has shifted up the gears in recent weeks as the pressure lifts off him. The mercurial Argentine was seen at his ecstatic best as Leeds United momentarily moved up into 8th placed on Tuesday evening.

The Whites put in yet another impressive display against Southampton, with Patrick Bamford scoring in the 73rd minute before Roberts adding to their tally in the dying stages of the game.

While Bielsa showed signs of enjoying Bamford’s strike, his body language was completely different for the second goal.

Here you can see how happy he was when Roberts scored his first goal of the Premier League season despite having played in 26 games.

Worth seeing him this happy

Bielsa’s had fallouts at a number of his former clubs and there was a doubt, albeit ever so little, about how his temperament would bode with the then-new owners.

However, it’s safe to say that three years into the job, which is now his longest at any club, he is loving life at Elland Road.

We’ve seen the first-hand view of him in the Amazon Prime documentary about how he goes on about his day-to-day business.

Even outside the training ground, he’s seen posing with fans, talking to the local community, and being a true Leeds icon.

It’s obvious that the Argentine hasn’t felt this sort of connection at any city and club before, and that is one of the main reasons he’s likely to stay for at least another year in the top flight with Leeds United.

We couldn’t be happier with one of the best managers in our history and if he were the kind to commit to longer-term deals, we would offer him a five-year contract right away.
