Alan Shearer wowed by Rasmus Kristensen in Leeds United clash v Leicester City live on Amazon
Alan Shearer was wowed by Rasmus Kristensen in the Leeds United clash against Leicester City on Thursday 20th October at the King Power.
The Danish international has really come into his own in recent weeks down the right and was bombing forward once again, with his delivery really catching the eye.
Shearer was critical of Luis Sinisterra in the opening 45 minutes though, as one delightful cross went begging across the face of the goal with no on there to tap home.
Speaking during live coverage of the game on Amazon Prime during the first half, Shearer wanted more from the Colombian at the back post.
“Luis Sinsterra had to get in there,” he said.
“The ball from Kristensen was wonderful, he just had to get in there.”
It was missing for the majority of the first half with this cross one of the only real examples of quality.
Sinisterra did hit the crossbar a few moments later after this, but Leeds had plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net and they didn’t take them.
Shearer noted Kristensen for his efforts, and he deserved it as he makes himself available at every opportunity down the right with no real winger ahead of him in this system.
It really is the difference between winning games and losing them, and Leeds have zero end product right now which is infuriating at this moment.
Jesse Marsch will be bang in trouble if this continues, but the truth is, he has got it wildly wrong this evening, and he will know that with his shocking team selection.
Kristensen being one positive after a cross into the box says it all, and things need to change hugely in the second half or there will be a massive enquiry after the full-time whistle.
In other Leeds United news, this player could be first in the Elland Road boardroom as new contract talks may take centre stage
