Adrian Durham: This is what Brentford fans near me were saying about Leeds at Griffin Park
The Brentford fans at Griffin Park said Leeds United were “brilliant” on Tuesday night, according to talkSPORT host Adrian Durham, as Marcelo Bielsa’s men dominated a 1-1 draw.
It was a case of yet more points dropped after Leeds conceded a terrible goal, with a backpass rolling underneath Kiko Casilla’s foot.
However, Leeds made Brentford, one of the league’s form teams look “awful” – again, that’s in the words of their own fans according to talkSPORT’s Durham.

Talking on Drive (talkSPORT, Wednesday, 6pm), Durham said, “Leeds were brilliant and Brentford were awful – and that’s according to the Brentford fans that were sitting near me.
“Leeds were brilliant, mainly thanks to Kalvin Phillips who was sensationally good. If Leeds don’t get promoted then he’ll be playing in the Premier League.”
Durham asked Shaun Wright-Phillips what he made of the massive blunder that Casilla made and the former Man City player said his teammates would have been “raging” but that he found it amusing.
“You’re raging but you have to have some sympathy. He’s your keeper at the end of the day.
“The way it happened it just rolled through his foot. It looked like he’d got a hole in his foot. I was chuckling at it but it does happen.”

Fair play to the Brentford fans who were treated to the true Leeds on Tuesday.
The result might not have been brilliant but a draw away at Brentford isn’t bad and after the run Leeds have been on, it should be seen as a real result.
The only downside is that the performance deserved all three points.
The attack momentum graph from SofaScore shows just how dominant Leeds at Griffin Park and they took almost double the number of shots and got three times more on target that Brentford did.

67% possession away is solid but Leeds created two big chances and missed both of them. [All stats from SofaScore]
