‘Abysmal’, Sell him – Many Leeds fans annihilate player who ‘Should be sold in Jan’ after loss
Leeds United fans have torn Ezgjan Alioski to shreds on Twitter after the 2-1 defeat to West Ham at Elland Road on Friday night.
Alioski, 28, was in and out of Marcelo Bielsa’s starting line-up in the Championship last season but has started Leeds’ last five Premier League games either on the wing or at left-back.
On Friday, he was selected to play at left-back as injuries to Robin Koch and Diego Llorente meant Luke Ayling had to move to centre-back and Stuart Dallas to right-back.
However, although no one really impressed for the Whites in the defeat to West Ham, Alioski is someone who has received a lot of criticism from some sections of fans on Twitter.
One has even suggested that the North Macedonia international “should be sold in January” because he’s not cut out for the Premier League.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Football supporters do say things without really thinking it through when their team loses, don’t they?
Alioski’s contract expires at the end of the season so if a new contract isn’t agreed with him before January, clubs from abroad will be able to offer him a pre-contract ahead of a free transfer in the summer.
Do we want to lose Alioski on a free transfer? Absolutely not.
Just because he’s had a couple of sub-par performances in the last few weeks doesn’t mean he should be sold.
Imagine if every team sold and bought players based on a handful of appearances.
We understand why supporters can be fickle but suggesting someone should be sold is ridiculous.
In other Leeds United news, Andy Hinchcliffe blasted this “incredibly poor” player against West Ham.
