Sam Chambers arrives with Leeds United squad v Queens Park Rangers

Sam Chambers has arrived with the Leeds United squad for the clash against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, Graham Smyth has shared.

The Whites host the Londoners at Elland Road in the Championship on 9 November, as they look to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat against Millwall last time out.

Daniel Farke handed Chambers, the teenage attacking midfielder, his debut in the 3-0 win against Plymouth from the bench.

Smyth wrote on X: “Sam Chambers with the squad today again.”

After it was announced by the FA on the morning of 9 November that Junior Firpo had been banned for three games, a spot opened in the squad.

The defender has been charged with violent conduct after an apparent headbutt was caught on camera in the 1-0 defeat at Millwall, something he denied.

Sam Byram will likely come in over Isaac Schmidt given his recent success, but Chambers could now take that spot on the bench and look for more minutes.

The young teenager signed his first professional contract at the club back in March, keeping him under terms at Elland Road until 2026.

Not only that but he has now been trusted to jump up to the senior level alongside the likes of Charlie Crew and James Debayo, who have featured in squads frequently this season.

Leeds and Farke will be desperate to return to winning ways, especially before the final international break of the year begins.

In other Leeds United news, another high-level figure could be on his way out at Elland Road.
