Will Jayden Bogle get England call-up as injury crisis revealed?
Leeds United defender Jayden Bogle has quietly started the Premier League season superbly.
After being warned by Sheffield United fans upon his signing, it couldn't have gone much better for the Whites.
Signed for only £5million, the right-back has been transformed by Daniel Farke from day one.
It's credit to the work he has put in at Elland Road, with three clean sheets in all competitions and a goal already.
It's gone that well that Bogle was even tipped by many to join up with the England squad for the extended intenraitonal break.
And with injuries mounting for Thomas Tuchel, it's not an impossibility.
Crisis hits England hard already
After the summer's World Cup and the hectic start to the season, players look to be prioritising their recovery.
James Trafford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will represent the Three Lions across four fixtures, with starts likely at some stage.
But, could Bogle be next in line?
Matt Law has shared the latest, with Tino Livramento a direct competitor dropping out of the squad.
He's joined by Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford, who are all staying at home.
It still doesn't look good for Bogle, though.
James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White have instead been called up as replacements, with the Everton star also able to play at right-back.
Is Jayden Bogle call-up still possible?
It appears so.
Tuchel and England look to be dealing with the fallout of the latest round of fixtures in the Premier League and elsewhere.
With the Nations League back, it's a real chance for those on the outskirts to put themselves forward.
Bogle is playing superbly at right wing-back, and nobody in this England set-up is putting up similar numbers.
Take Livramento for example, he's yet to start a single Premier League game and only featured for 33 minutes.
So, how on earth is he ahead of Bogle? It makes no sense.
This is the issue with international football, managers have favourites and pick them regardless.
Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to the Three Lions' squad is a sign that you can make it out of nowhere, so Bogle could hold onto that hope.
For now, though, he's not expected to be going away this week.
