Why Bruno Fernandes is already unhappy before Leeds vs Manchester United
Manchester United are in turmoil ahead of kick-off against Leeds.
For the first time in decades, the Whites are actually favourites to win at Elland Road against their rivals on 18 October.
Daniel Farke has kept things calm all week in LS11, although the atmosphere is firing up.
The same can't be said for Michael Carrick and Old Trafford.
As Leeds look to go fifth in the Premier League with a win, Carrick could face the same fate as Ruben Amorim.
He was sacked after Elland Road last season, so Bruno Fernandes already being unhappy doesn't sound good for him.
Bruno Fernandes raging already at Elland Road
This is exactly what Leeds will be wanting to hear.
As soon as the first whistle goes, Leeds players will be looking to frustrate Fernandes, as he can easily bite.
Jamie Carragher believes that starting him on the left, as it looks likely, will not please the Portgual international at Elland Road.
"The problem when you put three players in there, what do you do with your best player, Fernandes?" he said on Sky Sports Premier League.
"Now, we've got him out wide left and he's trying to get into pockets.
"We see lots of teams doing that now, you can't always just play two wingers.
"You're almost shoe-horning in your best player, he won't be happy playing in a wide position."
This is perfect for Leeds
When the pressure is high, will Fernandes want to do the dirty work?
The left-hand side could be the worst possible place to play him, especially looking at this Leeds right.
Not only do you have Jayden Bogle consistently overlapping, you then have James Justin coming around him, too.
Your midfield may be able to cover Bogle going around Anton Stach, but Fernandes will hate following the non-stop running of Justin.
That's how he scored at Arsenal last week, nobody wanted to follow.
Of course, there is the opposite side of things, where Fernandes won't just stay on the left when in possession.
Bogle and Justin won't want to follow him wondering too much, but could be left with nobody to mark at stages.
This is the game of chess expected, but with a fiery Elland Road behind it, all bets are off as to how this could work out.
Leeds are favourites and Fernandes may be unhappy, but that means nothing once the first ball is kicked.
