It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Respected West Brom journalist Joseph Masi believes that Sam Johnstone could end up at Leeds United if Albion are, as expected, relegated this summer.

West Brom are nine points off safety with just five games of the season remaining.

Talking on the Baggies Broadcast, Masi said, "I think the three players who could leave this summer are potentially Matheus Pereira, [Sam] Johnstone and [Kyle] Bartley.

"There are rumours Burnley are sniffing around Bartley.

"I think Johnstone will probably go as well, I think he'll end up at Leeds or West Ham... £12-£15million is my fee for Johnstone."

Leeds

Fantastic number two

Masi isn't the first West Brom journalist who has touted the possibility of Johnstone coming to Leeds.

The Athletic's Steve Madeley said recently that he could see Leeds getting rid of Kiko Casilla and signing the impressive Johnstone.

Herein lies the problem for us.

We would much prefer to have a 1-2 of Illan Meslier and Sam Johnstone.

Unfortunately, we can't see anyone coming in for Casilla after what's happened to him at Leeds and the fact he's on high wages.

If Casilla doesn't leave, we can't see Leeds spending £12m on another keeper to keep the bench warm – Meslier is the solid number one and only getting better.

Also, we doubt whether Johnstone would want to sign for someone and be the number two.

However, it's a signing we'd love to happen. Johnstone has been brilliant this season and would make an excellent back-up to Meslier.
