Jeff Stelling has backed Leeds United to secure their first three points of the season against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The Sky Sports presenter has predicted that it will be a tight affair between the newly-promoted duo, with the Whites coming out on top 1-0.

The two teams will meet again only a couple of months after Leeds swept the Cottagers aside 3-0, although the result didn't tell the full story of the game.

Stelling believes that Leeds will have far too much quality for Scott Parker's side, and that will see them get over the line, just.

"Leeds looked magnificent against Liverpool, but Fulham will be a completely different proposition," he wrote for Super 6.

"Aleksandar Mitrovic will start so he will be a handful up front, but Marcelo Bielsa's side will have too much quality and get over the line, but only just."

Mitrovic comes into the game on the back of his first start and goal of the season against Ipswich in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The Serbian international didn't start the season opener against Arsenal, and struggled to make an impact off the bench with his side three goals down.

Leeds will be looking to do a similar job as to what they did in this fixture last season, where they frustrated the striker for 90 minutes - something which should have seen him sent off for an elbow on Ben White.

Fulham struggle when Mitrovic isn't on song, and if the Whites can limit his involvement and take their chances as they did against Liverpool, the margain could be much more than the single goal.
