A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Marcelo Bielsa was at his most verbose in Thursday's press conference.

He kicked off with a huge explanation about why his nomination for manager of the month was down to the input of the players. It was the sort of classy response we'd expect from Bielsa.

He then moved on to what Leeds had to guard against while they were 11 points clear at the top. The short answer? Take each match at a time... but Bielsa warned that the bottom team could beat the top team at any time. Live in the present was his sage advice.

Leeds United

When he got to the team news, he confirmed that Liam Cooper is "much better" while ruling out Tyler Roberts, Jamie Shackleton and Adam Forshaw.

However, he also said that he would be wary of using Cooper if he was less than 100%.

Cooper has missed the last two games for Leeds but if they've missed him at the back, they haven't shown it.

They haven't conceded a goal in either game, scoring twice in each, to storm to the top of the table.

Bielsa was talking in his pre-match press conference (live in the LUFC app, Thursdsy, 12.30pm).

Leeds are top of the table after winning the last seven games in a row. Victory against Cardiff would put Leeds on the best run since Bielsa took over as manager.
