This is exactly why Jean-Matteo Bahoya hasn't played for Leeds United yet - There's no agenda

Leeds United fans are starting to twitch over Jean-Matteo Bahoya.

The young French winger signed from Eintracht Frankfurt on deadline day, but has yet to see a single minute of action at Elland Road.

Leeds fans aren't exactly known for their patience, and they're starting to worry that this scenario is exactly like Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani.

Neither played much under Daniel Farke, who preferred others such as Brenden Aaronson, with both now elsewhere.

But, Bahoya certainly isn't like that.

Initially on loan with a conditional obligation to buy, the winger will get his chance sooner rather than later.

There's clear reason why Bahoya hasn't played yet

It's not like Leeds fans to get carried away.

Just because it's Aaronson or Dan James coming off the bench instead, they aren't happy, despite the latter particularly starting the season well.

Bahoya was going to make his debut against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup off the bench, but an issue with Melvin Bard delayed that.

Leeds fans were then upset that he didn't come on for his debut when four goals ahead in the 4-1 win over Newcastle.

It's all about timing.

A quick look at his recent record would show that Bahoya has only completed 45 minutes of action since the middle of May.

17 minutes against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, and 28 minutes versus Brentford in pre-season, that is all.

So, being thrown in the Premier League with that level of conditioning simply isn't going to work right now.

Perfect time is coming for Bahoya

Not that Farke needs to explain himself to the negative narrative online, but this is a long season.

Bahoya will have every chance to make a name for himself in LS11, as we've only played four Premier League games.

With Leeds third in the table too, it's as if Farke knows what he's doing.

Crystal Palace are next in town on Sunday, and if a lead is secured early, the winger could get his chance then.

Should it be a positive cameo, he will then have the extended three-week international break to continue building his physical condition at Thorp Arch.

After that, Leeds play Arsenal and Manchester United, so everybody will need to be at the top of their game.

There's no agenda, it's just all about timing for Bahoya.
