Everyone will remember the nightmare that was the 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic for Leeds United last season.

There was hope around Elland Road that three points in that game would have put the Whites well on their way to promotion, but things quickly came crashing down.

Leeds avenged that defeat with a simple 2-0 victory at the DW Stadium earlier in the campaign, but even Marcelo Bielsa admitted he wanted to forget about last years result by picking up three points on Saturday.

Latics TV duo Tommy Gore and Guy Clarke have analysed the trip, claiming that Wigan are more than capable of doing the same to the Whites this time around - picking out Sam Morsy as a key player.

"I thought Sam Morsy was immense," they said on Latics Listen.

"Morsy was typical of the drive, determination in the team.

"We have a point to prove to all of these clubs because we've been on the wrong end of results against most of them this season.

"The most important thing now is Leeds. They will reflect on the result they got there last year for sure. To be able to go there with the confidence and say listen, we are capable of doing this, we are capable of getting a result."

Leeds will be hoping to turn their second-half display against Millwall into a full 90 minutes at Elland Road this Saturday.

They were typically dominant, and totally blew the Lions away - a team that are challenging for the play-offs. If they can do that against Wigan, they could be in trouble in West Yorkshire.

Paul Cook's side are in the top seven for goals conceded from open play this season [WhoScored]. They also concede the most from set-pieces in the Championship - something Leeds could exploit if their pressure starts to tell on the away side.

Leeds blew Wigan away earlier in the season, the red card helping. They had 76.1% possession, as well as completing 387 more passes. If they allow the Whites to do the same on Saturday, it could be a very long afternoon.
