Steven Schumacher has "limited options" at left-back due to Mickel Miller's suspension for the game against Leeds United on Saturday (11 November), according to PlymouthLive.

The newspaper reported on its website on Thursday (9 November) that the Pilgrims boss will also be without fellow left-sided defender Saxon Earley, who has been out since August with an ankle ligament injury.

It said Argyle captain Joe Edwards is likely to return to the starting lineup at right-back in place of Miller at Elland Road, with the versatile Kaine Kesler-Hayden shifting over to left-back.

Not ideal

The last thing Schumacher would have wanted is to have to shift around his defence ahead of the trip to Leeds to play a side that's currently full of confidence.

The Argyle manager may have pondered bringing his captain back into the fold for the clash anyway, given that he has started 11 games this season and adds experience to the side.

The Whites will be looking to get off to a fast start and put the Pligrims' makeshift backline under immediate pressure at Elland Road.

After picking up an excellent 1-0 victory against leaders Leicester City and Ipswich Town have dropped points in back-to-back games, Daniel Farke will be looking for his side to continue ramping up the pressure on the top two.

If they are to make a push for an automatic promotion place this season, then there is absolutely no doubt about the fact that these are the kind of games where they simply have to be picking up three points.
