Steve Sidwell and Tim Sherwood believe that Marcelo Bielsa is in the firing line at Leeds United after disappointing performances of late.

The Whites' struggles continued when they held Brighton to a 0-0 draw on Saturday evening.

While it could be viewed as a good point against a side currently in the top half of the Premier League, the performance was below par, and they certainly stole a point from Graham Potter's men on the day.

Discussing Bielsa's future and the possibility of him losing his job at Elland Road on the Premier League world feed, Sidwell and Sherwood, both BT Sport pundits, were in agreement.

Sidwell said, "You've got to say it is (job under threat). Look at teams around them picking up points. Are the tactics getting old? Are there any chinks in the armour? I would say yes."

This was a claim that Sherwood seconded after he praised Bielsa for the job he's done so far. "I think he's a wonderful manager. But I think that the time has come. This team has played under his philosophy since he took over. Maybe they've listened too much to him."

Ridiculous

The results and performances haven't been good this season and Bielsa will be the first person to tell you that.

The same eye-catching stuff that thrilled the neutral last season, is just seeming to be there this time around.

However, that could be attributed to a number of facts, and not solely on the Argentine's tactical nous.

There have been a staggering amount of injuries in the Leeds camp, coupled with a dip in form and a bad transfer market.

Not signing a midfielder for two summers in a row is proving to be a costly ordeal for Leeds and they have to enter the summer window for one.

Relegation is an obvious and very serious threat and fans cannot underplay that the Whites are in a fight for their lives to avoid the drop.

Bielsa is a fan favourite at Elland Road, but performances like these are slowly going to make the crowd restless.
